The following shortcuts can be used when using the Polyline tool:

Toggle Draw smooth polylines.

Temporarily disable snapping.

Shift+drag

Constrain angle of linear span between nodes to 15 degree increments.

Ctrl+drag

Close polyline to create polygon and continue drawing.
